Gex 3 100% Speedrun Guide for the PlayStation Version

About me
Hi everyone, I am Reece65536 and I have run Gex 3 100% for years. My first run dates back to 2011. Since then from time to time, I kept on working on this category and at the end, I ended up with 2:13:50. It has been an amazing journey and I am surprised how low my time has gotten.
Here is a Pastebin that I made that lists all 40 total PBs throughout the years. Started from November 25th, 2011 to February 1st, 2018.

I can say that Gex 3 100% has a ton of things to know about to prevent crucial glitches, such as fly coin glitches. A huge major thing about this category is TV Canceling. Here's a link that explains what TV Canceling is.
http://gexruns.wikia.com/wiki/TV_Cancelling
That lets you collect a TV's remote while not being sucked into the TV, allowing you to respawn in the level without going back to any main hub area. Ever since it got implemented into speedruns, it saves a ton of time. But at the same time, it opens up really precise tricks, making Gex 3 100% a very brutal category to get a perfect run. When I get great beginnings, I find them getting destroyed by certain TV Cancels almost every single time. This also made Mythology Network REALLY horrible to get through when attempting the 2 TV Cancels in that level (not to mention that the level is just over 1 hour and 10 minutes into a run). The first TV Cancel is a 1 frame trick and the other TV Cancel is a really precise trick that is called the "Rainbow TV Cancel Skip" and it is by far the worst part of Gex 3 100% in my opinion. It is so bad that it ended most of my great runs. I have created a tutorial just on that trick as well as creating a page at the end of this guide for this. This category can be really fun to start out with knowing what to do without attempting hard tricks just yet.
For easy navigation, you can go under the "Gex 3 100% PS Speedrun Guide" tab that is on top to go to all pages for this guide. You can go through this guide on the YouTube playlist that I have created as well. Keep in mind that I have created this guide as a YouTube video playlist then I decided to make this site that is based on the playlist. Here's the YT playlist.

This guide consists of 12 parts with the added Rainbow TV Cancel Skip tutorial at the end, totaling 13 pages. I don’t intend to have tips for everything but just the things that you should know. Here is my run for reference for this category.

Tigame- He runs the N64 version as well as the PS version. He made www.speedrun.com/gex and other websites better and he found very cool glitches. He created that pastebin list, have helped on the Gex speedrun wiki, and continues to be a really powerful glitch hunter. He also came up with the PS version Wrong Warp setup plus more.
Andypanther- A great TASer, he created the Gex Speedruns Wikipedia and was the first one who thought of implementing TV Canceling into speedruns. He found tons of skips in this game and has tested a number of things.
ZanderGothSRL- He's a great N64 runner that found skips in the Gex games. He also worked on N64 routes for this game as well as playing a wide variety of games. He is a really good glitch hunter.

Frogburt46- He's an N64 runner who made great videos about Gex 3. He helped test out a lot of things such as the Wrong Warp on the N64 version.
BurningSkull7- He is the person who found this really cool glitch that lets Gex walk in water. This glitch is very useful in 100% runs especially in Gangster TV.
